Who are we?

Vantage Point Psychotherapy & Performance was founded to bridge the gap between mental health and high performance, offering a unique space where personal growth and peak performance go hand in hand.

I’m Justine Bernier, a licensed psychotherapist, educator, and former professional and international soccer player. My journey began on the field, playing NCAA Division I soccer at the University of Alabama, where I was a 4-year All-SEC athlete, all while representing Team Canada internationally. Over more than 20 years, I have coached soccer at every level—from grassroots youth programs to the youth national team—witnessing firsthand how mental and emotional resilience is just as important as physical skill in achieving success.

In addition to my athletic and coaching experience, I trained and worked as an educator, bringing the skills of teaching, mentoring, and supporting development into my practice. After transitioning from sport, I pursued advanced training in psychotherapy to help individuals navigate life’s challenges and develop their full potential.

Today, I combine my background as an athlete, coach, and educator with evidence-based psychotherapy to work with individuals, couples, families, and athletes. My goal is to provide a supportive, results-driven, and compassionate space where clients can build resilience, gain perspective, and thrive in their personal lives, relationships, and high-performance pursuits.
